About this event

In this dynamic learning event we will explore the Being Framework, and specifically the element of authenticity as one of the core ways of being. Authenticity has so many conceptions and definitions. Sometimes it can stay surface level, as if just being myself I am being authentic. Lucy Faulconer and Aydin Yassemi bring a unique approach and distinction to how we work with authenticity that helps us expand how we connect with authenticity and help our clients work with it. We will learn a practical application of the Being Framework and exercises we can use for ourselves and our clients.

Join us from 6:00-6:30pm for networking with the presentation starting at 6:30 PM

Aydin Yassemi

Aydin Yassemi is an experienced leadership coach and facilitator, with over 35 years of experience across diverse organizations (including multinational corporations, UN agencies, SME’s, and NGO’s). He works with Engenesis as the lead program facilitator for the Thrive Coach Training Program, and the Being Profile Accreditation Program. He is also the director of Engenesis Iran, where he is training coaches and leaders towards developing partnerships for peace and well-being.

Having been directly impacted by revolution, war and social unrest in Iran and the Middle East, he has searched for the root causes of conflicts. He has realized that bombings, socio-economic disruptions and lost lives are the effects. At its root, we have a crisis in sense-making. People fight against perceived ‘enemies’, or for perceived ‘interests’, without fulling understanding or examining what the real enemies and interests are. For him coaching is the most important act towards peace, through which we develop the capacity to hold space for conflicting thoughts and emotions to arise, to meet them where they are, with no judgement but with discernment, and to expand awareness and choice towards greater possibilities, while learning from the consequences.

Aydin studied science at UC Berkeley and worked as a researcher at Lawrence Berkeley Labs in the 1980s. He returned to Iran to start his own business in management consulting and training in the 1990s till 2011, when he moved to Canada. He has two daughters, who reside in Vancouver, while he regularly travels with his wife. Aydin considers himself a global citizen, dedicated to building bridges between people towards co-creating authentic sustainable alternatives in business, education and communities.
