2024 Core Competencies Learning Group

January - October (with a pause in May for Memorial Day holiday)

Group Size: Minimum 4; No Maximum
CCEs: 1 in Core Competencies for each meeting you attend
Drop-ins welcome! Come when you can.
This group is designed to focus on a Core Competency and its associated PCC Markers as developed by our professional association, the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Beginning with Competency #1: Demonstrates Ethical Practice and ending with Core Competency #8: Facilitates Client Growth, we will take an in-depth look at a different competency each month. Each session will feature 20-25 minutes of content with the remainder of the hour devoted to breakout groups where we will coach one another and discuss our coaching, using the associated PCC Markers.

Experiential Learning Through:
●Discussion of each Core Competency with your coaching colleagues.
●Peer coaching with a colleague in breakout rooms.
●Use of the PCC Markers to frame the feedback discussion during peer coaching.
Group Engagement Between Meetings:
●Participation in peer coaching groups
●Access online resources on the ICF website and other trusted resources to view coaching demos and discussions or webinars on the core competencies.
Other Logistics:
You must be registered for this learning group and attend each session for the full hour to receive the CCE credit for that month’s meeting. Registering for this learning group does not obligate you to be present at each monthly meeting. Attend as you are able.
Facilitator:
Joanne Larson, ACC, has been coaching emerging leaders in the corporate and non-profit sectors since 2013. Her "sweet spots" in coaching are young leaders just entering the workforce and mid-career professionals seeking to up their game or make a major career transition. Joanne also enjoys the energy generated with group and team coaching as they learn to function effectively with one another to get important things done. Joanne is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and has a M.S. in Organization Development from Pepperdine University. She is currently fulfilling the requirements for PCC.
